If angels roamed the earth, this is what they would look like.  Bethany completely reinvented herself for Step up your Style taking her style and look to the next level.  Bethany has attended our events in the past such as The Bedroom party that night Bethany came in looking pretty with simple straight hair and light make up to match, but on this night she went from pretty to gorgeous making sure every detail was attended to from head to toe.  She did not miss a single detail!

Bethany wasn’t only striking she was extremely gentile and sweet everything that a fashionable person should entail. 

As I scanned the room admiring all of the good looking men and women that came out so impeccably dressed I couldn’t help walking across the room to ask Bethany more about her look.  It was obvious that she didn’t just wash and wear her hair or throw on a dress from the back of her closet.  This girl made me think twice about what it means to “Step up Your Style”!

Bethany’s hair was amazing from straight flat hair going to curly hair as soft as cotton candy perfectly curled to frame her beautiful face.  Although she had her hair curled, it didn’t look stiff or overdone, it looked natural and silky.  The color was perfectly even and went well with her milky white skin tone.  

From the style of her hair to the tone of her make-up, the colors set the stage for her flirty dress.  Generally going with make-up colors that match your dress or neutral tones would be the easy solution, but Bethany took a risk that helped accentuate her features for a more dramatic look.  The orange eye shadow combined with rich black eyeliner gave her an edgy evening look the soft pink blush with dripping shiny gloss balanced her face keeping her sexy and summery.  It’s important to keep your make-up from looking too hard during the summer nights, but you don’t want to wear the same colors you would wear by day.  Use brown or soft black eyeliner to transition from day to night.

The dress Bethany wore was a great color for her skin tone and the fit was perfect for her body shape.  Lately, the style has been to wear a dress with a wide belt.   I like that she chose not to do it with this particular dress.  The stretch fabric lay perfectly over her hips making the delicate layers flow nicely towards the floor.  The short cap sleeve adds more detail than a simple strap and the white piping around the bust level creates a nice clean line.  The little flowers are a cute accent to make the dress fun and flirty.  The simplicity of the dress is what I liked most about this look: you don’t have to be outrageous to look dynamite.

The jewelry Bethany wore was well picked.  I like that she went with blue beaded hoop earrings instead of a necklace that would have been too much with the detail of the neckline on the dress.  The pink and blue beaded watch was a cute addition that made Bethany’s outfit look complete.

I want to congratulate Bethany on taking a risk, trying something new, being creative and having fun.  This is what makes fashion so great.

I also want to thank everyone that had fun with dressing up on Saturday night from the cowboy and cone-head hats to the men dressed in sharp suits!  I couldn’t be more impressed with San Francisco and your ability to Step Up Your Style!
